Private individuals, foundations, synagogues, churches and organizations can dedicate Operation LifeShield shelters to the location of their choice (see the Shelter Requests page) or to where the need is greatest.
The donors’ names and any other donor-requested dedication information will be prominently displayed on a sturdy acrylic plaque that is permanently affixed to the exterior wall of the shelter. Pictures of the donated shelter and dedication plaque will be taken after the shelter is deployed at its final location. The photos will be sent to the donor.
Donors will be furnished with a US tax-exempt receipt as well as a personalized certificate of recognition and letter of thanks. In addition, donors will be invited to visit the town their shelter will benefit, personally meet the mayor and local IDF representative, and participate in an on-site shelter dedication ceremony.
